Denver Chocolate Sheet Cake

Ingredients

2 1/3 cups flour

2 cups sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup butter

1 1/4 cups water

4 tbsps cocoa

1/2 cup buttermilk

2 eggs beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla

FROSTING:

1/2 cup butter

4 tbsps cocoa

6 tbsps buttermilk

1 lb powdered sugar

1/2 cup pecans toasted

Directions

Mix flour, sugar and soda in bowl. Bring butter, water & cocoa to a boil in saucepan. Pour over dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Pour into greased 9x13" (or 11x15") pan and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Pour frosting over warm cake.

FROSTING:
Heat butter, cocoa & buttermilk to boiling. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla, sugar & toasted pecans. Frosting will be runny but will set with time.
